2025 is proving to be an interesting and often challenging year.
That’s the 9-vibration for you. It’s shaking the tree and doing whatever it can to get your attention.
For some, it feels like getting whacked upside the head repeatedly.
Others feel like they are stuck in their own personal Groundhog Day and are ready to give up because they don’t see a way out.
The world seems to be chaotic, yet it is in a place of change… some of it constructive, some of it destructive, and much of it distracting you from paying attention to the one thing you can actually change… YOU!
"They say that times changes things,
but you have to actually change them yourself."
~ Andy Warhol
July’s energy nudged you toward going within and looking at what might need to change or be acknowledged.
It was also a rally cry to listen (or start listening) to your intuition.
Your inner guidance system taps into way more than your beautiful brain does.
This month, we step into the powerful manifesting energy of August’s 8-vibration.
August energy prompts you to reconnect (or connect) with your manifesting mojo… your power, potential, and prosperity.
It may be showing up as the opposite of that, to point out where you are giving your power away and disconnected from your prosperity and true potential.
If you embraced July’s nudges to reconnect (or connect) with your inner knowing and intuition, great! This practice also sets you up to manifest more of what you desire in your life, instead of focusing your energy on worry and fear and creating more of that crap to deal with.
Good news from the Cosmos to support you this month… The “start nothing new” zone ends on August 11 when Mercury goes direct. The post-Mercury retrograde shadow ends on August 25.
So, you may feel an energy shift occur.
Things that stalled might begin moving forward again.
The major themes of the 8-vibration are: Abundance, Power, Appreciation, Prosperity, Recognition, Success, Leadership, Wealth, Problem-solving, Organizing, Potential, and Material Mastery.
And, yes, people all over are acting out and reacting to the drama surrounding these areas.
"Drama is a choice - so is peace." ~ Anonymous
The dichotomy between following your ego or following your Spirit (intuition, gut, higher self, etc.) is the challenge the number 8 brings to the table… like a pop quiz from the Universe.
Will you work with “The Force” or try to bend it to Your Will?
Basically, which do you choose, the Jedi or Sith approach?
If the energy feels a tad familiar, we were in an 8-vibration year all of 2024.
This year we are in a 9-vibration year (endings, completion, letting go, reevaluating everything).
The combo of the 8 and 9 vibrations asks that you let go of your fixed points of view around prosperity, power, and success and define them on your terms instead.
Three aspects of the 8-vibration are running hot and heavy this month:
- Finances
- Personal Power
- Acknowledgement & Recognition
To a lesser degree, the organized/organizing aspect is showing up in curious ways, such as an “OCD”-behavior in planning (checking, checking again, and again), feeling scattered and disorganized, or trying to control everything.
How these aspects may be showing up this month…
Finances
You are being asked to take a realistic look at your financial situation. Paying attention (positively and proactively) can help you improve your financial situation.
Everyone has a different set point for the amount of money they allow themselves to have. I had an aunt who cried poverty when her bank balance dipped below $100K. I know others who feel abundant with way less money than my aunt’s “poverty pain point”.
Please understand that your financial situation consists of the actual amount of money (or debt) that you have, plus your point of view or mindset and beliefs about money.
There’s way more there to unpack than I can do in this blog.
This month’s energy invites you to take a realistic look at your relationship to money and identify 1 or 2 things you could do now to improve things.
Don’t overwhelm yourself!
Here are some questions you could explore:
- What beliefs about money might be slowing your abundance flow?
- What does money mean to you?
- Does the idea of having lots of money make you feel comfortable or uncomfortable?
- Who would you be if you had lots of money?
- What might you do differently?
- How might you be judged differently?
- How is your financial situation benefiting you? (You are getting something from it; be open to knowing what that perceived benefit is.)
- What’s blocking your path to prosperity? (Take a look at your beliefs, mindset, repetitive thoughts, words you speak or use that reinforce lack, conclusions, judgments, actions… or lack of action.)
Some of the Shadow Elements that might be showing up for you include:
- feeling lack (this can be around money or joy or just about anything, as it is all related to the energy of abundance),
- stressing and worrying about money,
- poverty mindset,
- projecting financial fear into the future,
- being afraid to spend,
- feeling like you don’t understand money,
- and being uncertain how to make more money.
Side note: you might want to play with this interesting idea: tithe to yourself!
“Money is my friend. My body is my friend. Life is my friend.”
~ Alan Cohen
Power
I’m not talking about ruling the world kind of power or power over others. This is about your Personal Power.
Owning your power means being responsible for yourself and your choices, making decisions from your center of power and knowing rather than from a position of guilt, fear, or people-pleasing.
Owning your power means stepping out of the “victim model,” and stopping the urge to blame others or the world for whatever is happening to you.
The Shadow Side of personal power is feeling like everything is happening to you, you’re a victim, spinning out, feeling powerless, and believing you have no choice or options available to you.
The truth is, you have way more capability than you realize.
Here are a few things to explore around your power:
- How, when, and where are you giving your power away?
- Where are you holding yourself back?
- Where are you playing small in your life?
- What is underneath the second-guessing, self-doubt, and feeling drained?
- Are you ready to step into your true potential?
- What would you do if you fully trusted your power?
- What would you change?
- What would have to change?
"In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity."
~ Albert Einstein
Acknowledgement & Recognition
This is an interesting topic. Words I hear frequently from clients and friends are “People don’t appreciate me or acknowledge me.”
Perhaps you have a similar lament.
Here’s the thing… until you appreciate and acknowledge yourself, others generally won’t show up that way for you.
Why?
It is to help you to stop looking outside of yourself for validation and recognition.
When you turn back inward and recognize, appreciate, and acknowledge yourself and all you have done, others start to do the same.
There’s another reason why you may not feel recognized and appreciated for what you do… You aren’t able to receive it.
Receiving is also an issue with prosperity.
When you have trouble receiving compliments, help, money, or anything, the Universe (and people) may be acknowledging you, but you won’t see or hear it. Crazy, huh!?!
When you are an over-giver, you may find it hard to receive.
There are many reasons for this, since each person is different.
The common thread is that at some point in your childhood, you were conditioned to believe that you didn’t deserve to have what you wanted, or it was selfish, or it was better to give than receive.
And this belief or programming runs behind the scenes, interfering with your abundance and well-being.
The Shadow Side of this is self-deprecation, diminishing how you feel about anything, devaluing yourself and your gifts, or feeling punished for something you did, so you don’t deserve to have what you desire. It also shows up as arrogance, disdain, aloofness, or self-importance (masking the feelings of insecurity).
Here are a few things to explore around recognition:
- When do you seek validation from others?
- What do you always complain about not being appreciated, seen, heard, or recognized for?
- Where do you diminish or blow off something that really hurt you or your feelings? Why?
- Where or when do you feel “not enough?”
- Who gave you the limitations around your self-worth?
- When do you feel selfish, or what do you feel is selfish, so you don’t go for it?
- What about you could you start appreciating?
- Where can you shift from judging things by their shortcomings and start appreciating all you have actually accomplished?
Suggestion for shifting this...
You can begin a 30-day appreciation challenge: every day, state or write down five things that you appreciate about your life, your work, and yourself.
Appreciate everything you have and all that you are.
Remember to be gentle with yourself and love yourself through the rough bits!
