First, may I offer encouragement to all you brave souls.
Hang in there. Take another step.
I know it can seem like endless slogging through mud or a ridiculous ascent up a rocky mountain path, with stones slipping underfoot.
Or, if you’re like me, you may feel like you woke up in an alternate reality some days. (It is possible… but I digress.)
My intention for writing this today is to offer you hope, another perspective on what might be going on, and let you know what kinds of things the Cosmos and energy of this year are bringing to the forefront.
This way, you can make wiser choices. Or realize that you have a choice!
I guess I also wanted to reassure some of you that you aren’t crazy or losing your mind. (Hmmm, that could be a possibility, though, wink-wink.)
Since some of you are scanners and just want the highlights, I’ll bullet that info upfront.
For those of you who love having more information and details, I’ll expand a bit on some aspects after the Key Points.
On Saturday, April 12, we have the Pink Moon…
a lighthearted (although potentially misleading) name for this Full Moon in Libra.
This is no rainbows and lollipops Pink Moon. According to my astrology sources, this full moon will be triggering relationship issues, uncovering unhealed (or ignored) wounds, and holding up the looking glass for you to see more clearly.
Don’t you just love personal revelations?!?
According to Moon Omens, Full Moons
“offer us the chance to integrate what we have learned and encourage us to let go of what no longer serves our growth.”
And the numerology energy for 2025 is encouraging you to do the same thing. So, you can expect this full moon to be emotionally charged (as full and new moons tend to be) while urging you to let some of this shit go that you’ve been dragging around.
And guess where this energy is pointing… Relationships!
Key Points:
- This Full Moon amplifies some of the 2025 9-vibration energy, especially around letting go of relationships and other things from the past.
- Notice what is coming to an end in your life, and allow it to come to an end without resisting and fighting for it.
- We have a tendency to hang onto people, places, and things way behind their natural expiration date.
- Notice what people and situations may be resurfacing from your past.
- This is to give you another chance at closure or to revisit what it really meant to you or what meaning you assigned to it that may not be relevant anymore.
- Take a good, long look at the state of your relationship with yourself.
- Is it healthy? Supportive?
- Or are you being asked to start making some changes to improve this?
- Be honest with yourself as you do this.
- Remember… every relationship in your life is influenced by your relationship with yourself.
- The main aspects brought to the surface by the full moon in Libra are:
- An opportunity to see things more clearly
- Revealing the truth about a situation, issue, or relationship
- Becoming aware of how your inner pendulum has swung too far one way or the other (hint: over-giving or people-pleasing at the cost of your own well-being).
- Flashes of insight regarding old patterns, beliefs, and behaviors so you can start changing them.
- Emotions running hot and heavy
- Setting boundaries
- Restoring your sense of balance and realigning with your truth and values
- Establishing a better relationship with yourself
- Deepening existing bonds
- Releasing relationships and patterns that have “run their course”
- The Wounded Healer Chiron (in Aries) is in opposition to this full moon (in Libra). What this means…
- It puts a spotlight on acknowledging any wounds and insecurities that you have around your identity and who you are… including who you think you are and who or what you were told you are.
- Things like too much, wrong, broken, too loud, never satisfied, slow, too sensitive, and all the other judgments made about you as a kid (as well as carryovers from other lifetimes).
-
- It illuminates if and where you are out of balance with your masculine and feminine energy (this isn’t gender-related; we all have masculine and feminine energy systems).
- Do you have a dominant energy?
- Does the masculine side need healing or expansion?
- Does the feminine side need more expression or less?
- What steps can you take to have a healthy and balanced energy system?
-
- It invites you to be more aware of dysfunctional patterns anywhere and everywhere in your life and relationships.
- To begin healing them, you first must be aware of what they are.
-
- It asks you to look at how you are expressing yourself.
- Authentically, consistently, hesitantly, fearfully, playfully, creatively, and so on.
- What areas of self-expression call to you?
- What areas could use some improvement?
-
- It nudges you to consider your self-actualization journey.
(What the heck is self-actualization? The short answer is you being more you, knowing you have your own connection to Source, owning and standing in your power.
It includes things such as fully expressing yourself, fulfilling your talents, pursuing your passions, embracing your strengths (and weaknesses), showing up for yourself, acknowledging your potency, and living authentically (based on your values and truths).
-
-
- Do you go for what you want in life?
- Do you actively pursue your desires, dreams, and creative expression?
- Do you take the initiative?
- Are you comfortable asserting yourself when the situation calls for it?
- Are you acting authentically?
- Do you appreciate and acknowledge yourself and all you are and have accomplished?
- Where do you still think you need others to do it for you or give you permission?
- What steps could you take today to advance on your self-actualization journey?
- Planetary Energy continues to intensify...
- Swings in the current cycle of polarity are intense, however, do your best to find ways to stay centered and balanced rather than getting sucked into the drama.
- Emotions are running hot, and fear, anger, and worry are being spewed into the collective consciousness. Most of this happens on an unconscious level. Still, that energy is palpable.
- Don’t engage. Practice self-centering, pausing to breathe, and being present.
- Have compassion… and patience.
- There is a lot of misinformation and pot-stirring going on, observe without engaging… and ask, “Is this true?” And listen to the yes/no response from your gut/intuition.
- Don’t spread the BS and add to the drama.
- For those of you who “feel everything” (highly sensitive people, empaths, etc.), building walls and barriers is not the answer.
- Maintaining strong boundaries can help.
- Asking every day, “Is this mine?” for everything you feel can help you learn to tell the difference between what is going on in you and what is coming from the outside world and the people around you.
- Remember, energy can just pass through you without you taking it in and thinking it is yours or yours to fix.
- As air passes through your lungs, let energy pass through your field and continue on its way.
- I recommend having a cheat sheet of 3-5 things that make you smile, laugh, or bring you joy to use as a quick emotional reset when the external energy is suffocating. And use it!
NOTE: Although the focus of this blog is on April’s full moon and other planetary aspects along with the Universal 9-Year energy, you can use much of this as a touchstone for navigating 2025.
The Deeper Dive
The full moon is in Libra, the sign of the scales, justice, fairness, and balance. These elements require objectivity and clarity to function properly. This full moon is providing you with an opportunity to see things clearly and for the truth to be revealed, especially around a relationship, issue, or situation that has been weighing on you.
It’s always your choice whether you are willing to receive the truth or not. In my experience, truth is a liberator. It may hurt, but at least you know where you are and can actually take aligned actions to change things in your life.
As the scales swing up and down, propelled by our perspectives, points of view, beliefs, and unconscious biases, we hunger to restore balance to our inner and outer turmoil.
It is a common experience on this beautiful planet because of the polarity present here. The pendulum swings from one extreme to the other in its journey to a new center, a new balance.
As Moon Omens brilliantly points out,
“We have to navigate disharmony to understand true harmony, we have to go through confrontation and conflict to understand true peace.
"This Full Moon can act as a mirror and reflect back to us where we might have overcompensated, where we might have lost our connection with our truth in the name of a false sense of peace, and where we might be called to restore alignment in our relationships and within ourselves.”
That makes so much sense to me… reconciling opposites occurs when we allow ourselves to experience them without judgment and come to understand the higher state of being we desire: harmony and peace.
Throughout my years of doing spiritual/metaphysical work, as well as working in the Muggle world, overcompensation appears over and over. Perhaps at its heart is the identity wound around needing to prove your value, worth, capability, deservedness, desirability, or other perceived “lack.”
Some ways we tend to overcompensate are:
- Keeping the peace at all costs
- Weak or no boundaries
- Over-giving
- Over-delivering
- People-pleasing
- Trying to prove our value and worth
- Doing things in hopes of being loved or accepted
- Trying to fit in
- Inability to receive
- Trying to fix or control everything
All of these undermine our identity, self-worth, self-confidence, self-assurance, and ability to fully express and self-actualize.
When we engage in those activities and others like them, we pay with pieces of ourselves. The cost of that is high. We lose ourselves and give our power to others in the process and most likely get caught up in severe self-judgment.
The Libra Moon is said to bring clarity regarding your relationships.
However, the term relationship is broad here. Since a potent aspect of Libra is learning to see ourselves through others (like a reflection), all types of relationships are covered: people, places, and things.
Pay attention to specific areas that are occupying your thoughts lately... such as a relationship with money, work, illness, health, age, fitness, weight, family, aging family members, children, pets, home, and so on.
Perhaps the clarity that eluded you before regarding that situation or person will become crystal clear.
This Libra moon also sparks creativity and artistic expression, which are both supported by the 9-vibration energy of this year.
Libra urges you to restore balance and alignment within yourself and then within your relationships. This gets amplified since the overall energy of 2025 is focused on balance and relationships because of the two number 2s in the year.
If you’d like a refresher on the energy of 2025, here is my blog post on The 9 Year of 2025: Clearing Space to Create More of What You Would Like.
Moons deal with and often represent emotions. Especially from the past. The 9-vibration for 2025 is calling for letting go of things, especially from your past, which no longer serve your highest good.
Yes, things can still be serving you in a dysfunctional way that keeps you repeating patterns and getting stuck in the SOS (same old shit).
Those are the exact things the 9-vibration energy is saying: please stop and let this go already. Your Being, Your Body, and Your Life will thank you.
On the other hand, this full moon energy can be used to heal old rifts, deepen existing bonds, and provide insights into things that were previously cloudy or unknown.
You may also have a new understanding of what you truly desire and what your recent or past experiences were trying to show you and help you to learn another life lesson or two on your journey.
This moon can shine a light on how you navigate your past and present relationships and what course corrections might be required to restore your inner balance.
Your sense of identity may also get a poke:
- Who are you now?
- Who are you becoming?
- What do you desire or wish to have or do at this point in your life?
- Who are you in your primary relationships?
- Who are you in your work/career/job?
- Who are you when you are creating?
- Who are you when no one is watching?
- Are these the same you or different versions of you?
- Is it time to realign and become more secure in your identity?
Other Cosmic Influences
There are several planets in various positions that are amping up the complexity and intensity. Just be aware that the pressure might not be aimed at you, it’s just happening around you, like wind or rain.
Breathe! Do things to help you lighten up and re-center yourself.
Unplug and spend time in nature. Limit the outside news that you let into your inner world.
Trust you will know what you need to know when you need to know it.
Also, understand that some of this, working with the overarching energy of the 9-year of 2025, is to break down the old structures that are no longer working.
Yes, it can be stressful.
Yet change is happening; resistance will only make your life more challenging. What you resist persists. What you avoid will keep showing up in new and unexpected ways.
Understand that change is also happening within you.
The moon may help you release some old shit and acknowledge long-buried emotions so you can let them go from your body and wherever else you stockpiled them.
I am kind of amazed at the stuff from my teens and twenties that has been showing up for me to acknowledge this week and finally release or process and release. A couple required me to see them from a different perspective, with no judgment, and recognizing I was still using something I did in my teens to limit my ability to receive… like I was punishing myself for that misguided action. All of this was unconscious for me until this week.
Wild, huh?! And liberating.
The Full Moon in Libra is in opposition to Chiron in Aries.
Some of the Cosmic Turbulence is Aries and Libra opposing each other… Both the Sun and Chiron are in Aries, while the Moon is in Libra.
This is the classic dance between Mars and Venus, the masculine and feminine energy expressions in their Light and Shadow forms. And the balancing act between Aries’ me-focused, self-assertive energy and Libra’s we-focused, compromise-seeking energy.
Let's Look at Chiron, the Wounded Healer in Astrology…
According to intuitive astrologer Tanaaz
“In astrology, Chiron represents the forever wounds that become a part of our being. Chiron’s energy is not about “fixing” rather, it’s about accepting and knowing that our wounds are part of this earthly experience and don’t prevent us from being able to lead a beautiful and fulfilling life.
"How can you start to see some of your deeper wounds, not as problems to be fixed, but rather portals that can lead you into a deeper understanding of yourself and your life journey?”
I like that reframe on wounds... Reflect on how you can see the power in them and embrace the deeper understanding these wounds provide. This is an empowering element of Shadow-Work.
Bottom Line
Be flexible, open, and willing to receive insights stirred up from the Cosmos.
Not everything in this post will apply to you. Check-in with yourself first to see if it resonates.
Lighten-up. Practice good energy hygiene. Pause, breathe, and do whatever you can to come back into your own center/balance.
With love and appreciation,
