Is that a collective sigh of relief I hear?

After September’s 9-energy of completion and letting go, many of you may be relieved to hear the October ushers in the energy of new beginnings and of manifesting what you focus on.

September was a 9 vibrational month and was centered on completion, letting go, truth, integrity, compassion and forgiveness. It seems to have had more juice than other Septembers and I feel part of it is the 6 influence of 2013 - love.

So wherever we are still out of alignment with the vibration of love and wherever we aren't feeling our feelings, or doing things because we feel we have to do to survive... all this is being questioned now.

Last month was a great time to re-evaluate everything and only take with you going forward that which supports who you are now BEing or BEcoming.

We also had the fall equinox on September 22, which was supposedly bringing in another strong wave of transformational energies to help you shift out of the old patterns and anchor in the light more fully in your Being and help you raise your vibration. For some this may have felt uncomfortable because on some level you may still be resisting letting go.

Now let’s dive into October… this month is a 1 vibration and starts a new cycle-within-a-cycle for the 6 vibration.

In January, also a 1 vibration, we start the new full cycle into a 7 vibration (which is a powerful spiritual/metaphysical number) for 2014.

The number 1 is about Individuality, New Beginnings Leadership, Creativity, Ideas, Inventions, Organization and Independence.

Normally the 1 vibration is a great time to start or launch something new. But since we’ve just come off a month of letting go and evaluating what you’d like to create going forward, launching something completely new this month feels off to me.

Yet, if what you want to launch or create was something you had wanted to do months or years ago this is a great time to put those wheels back in motion.

The combination of completion energy from September will help fuel this new beginning.

We also have the subtle manifesting energy of the number 10 working with the 1 energy here.

This is creation energy: the ideas, innovation and individuality and leadership of the 1 plus the element of Spirit. What you focus on you can create – yes, it can be a double edged sword if you are focusing on what you don’t want rather than what you want.

Watch your words. Choose them wisely so they work for you rather than handicap you.

You are being asked to open your heart, listen to your heart and create from there, lead from that space. If ego is demanding to be in control, Libra, the scales will help you find a balance.

Following ego right now is a trap and will create illusion that will be perpetuated in November.

Following your heart and your spirit will keep you on track and open doors for you that you didn’t know existed.

With the air sign Libra occupying most of October, you may find that you are spending more time in your head, with your thoughts, which is amplified by the 1 vibration. Try to balance logic and thinking with feeling and following your inner guidance.

Overthinking anything will keep you stuck in place.

The 1 is often hasty in decisions, wanting things a certain way. When you find yourself wanting to control or pushing to make something happen, you are in your ego.

Stop, take a breath, put your hand on your heart and take 3 deep breaths. Breathing into your heart. You can even imagine a pink light surrounding your heart space as you do this.

Putting your hand on your heart and breathing slowly and deeply will help you return to center.

From there you can make your decisions.

From this centered space allow the ideas and creativity to flow and trust your intuitive guidance.

This is a great month to learn to discern the difference between your intuition and your other internal voices.

Think of this month as a new moon kind of energy...

• What do you want to create?
• What ideas have you been playing with?
• Who do you want to be?
• How might you step into more of a leader role in your work, your family?
• How can you better organize your life, work to have it run more smoothly for you?
• Where do you want to express more of your individuality, your uniqueness?

Focus on your thoughts, dreams and ideas… and anything you decided on last month that you wish to create in your life to replace that which you decided to let go of.

And if you want to spruce up your home, office or wardrobe, Libra – and her guiding planet Venus – can help you decorate and choose things that are more supportive and pleasing for you.

You can also explore new ways of thinking, being, new areas of growth and learning this month. When we move into Scorpio the last week of October, deep emotions will be added to the mix.

And now for the public service announcement: Mercury will retrograde this month, so mark your calendars now!

Mercury goes retrograde on October 21 and will be there till November 10.

And since it is retrograde in the water sign of Scorpio, you just might be visited by the ghosts of emotions past! The things you’ve been avoiding feeling or dealing with for years and probably lifetimes will be coming back for a visit so you can acknowledge it and heal it and let it go.
